Host a JWW Program or Speaker
JWW educates the community in a variety of ways: through speaking engagements, film screenings, panel discussions, and in-school programs. We want you to be our partner in the education and mobilization of your community.
We love partnering with our supporters to put on traditional and out-of-the-box programs. Interested in collaborating with us to host a program in your community? Fill out our Invite a Speaker form and let us know when you’d like to host a program.
Are you planning a program or fundraiser in your community, and you just need some information and materials from JWW? We’d love to help. Contact us for more information.
Attend an event
JWW hosts a variety of events throughout the year that are open to the public. Many of our events focus on interactive discussions and opportunities for our community to get involved in the genocide and atrocities prevention movement. Check the Events page and follow us on social media for news about up-coming events.
Meeting directly with your Member of Congress, or with their staff, is one of the best and most effective forms of advocacy. You are able to meet with your Representative or Senators’ district office throughout the year, but during the summer recess Members of Congress traditionally have more time to meet with constituents. This is a great time for you to schedule a meeting with your Representatives and discuss genocide and atrocities prevention and issues facing Sudan, South Sudan, and the DRC. Don’t worry, it’s easier than you think!
We host advocacy training in the Los Angeles area, and help our supporters setup meetings with Congressional offices. If you are located outside of the Los Angeles area we can work with you to coordinate a virtual training with your community. Please contact us for more information about in-district advocacy opportunities and lobby training.
Speakers Bureau Training
Over the years, our JWW Speakers Bureau has been an essential part of our work to raise awareness about genocide and mass atrocities. JWW speakers have been played an integral role in educating the greater Los Angeles community about Sudan and Congo. If you are interested in being trained to be a JWW speaker, please contact us for more information.
