Local Projects
Student Activism
From our innovative Activist Certification and Training (ACT) program which teaches students the skills of effective activism, to our work with area schools and summer camps, JWW empowers young leaders to advocate for positive change.
Political Action
Whether we’re taking to the streets at our rallies, vigils or the annual Walk to End Genocide or meeting with national and international political leaders, JWW works to remind our leaders that ending the crises in Sudan and Congo is a priority.
Community Events
JWW has been an integral player in educating the public about Sudan and Congo. Our annual events build awareness about the crises in Sudan and Congo and mobilize thousands of community members each year towards action.
Completed On the Ground Projects
Women in Crisis
Women and girls suffer disproportionately during conflict. JWW works to help women survivors rebuild their lives through projects that not only provide relief but restore dignity, develop skills, and provide economic development opportunities.
Children in Conflict
The futures of Sudan and Congo are in jeopardy unless we can provide for their children. JWW projects support the health and well-being of Darfuri refugee children, providing them with the supplies that meet their basic needs and programs that provide for their future growth.
Health & Safety
During conflict, ordinarily preventable or treatable conditions can easily turn into life-and-death situations. JWW works to maintain the health of survivors through projects that both provide much-needed medical aid and supplies and further empower them to maintain their own health and sanitation.
