Take These Actions Now:

TAKE THIS ACTION  - Help pass the Elie Wiesel Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act!

The Elie Wiesel Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act seeks to strengthen the U.S. government’s ability to prevent and respond to genocide and mass atrocities around the world by:

  • Creating the Mass Atrocities Task Force
  • Authorizing the Complex Crises Fund
  • Training of Foreign Service Officers to recognize the early warnings of genocide and mass atrocities
  • Requiring reporting by the State Department and Director of National Intelligence

Send a letter to your Senators and ask them to co-sponsor the Elie Wiesel Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act of 2017, S.1158.

TAKE THIS ACTION  - End Atrocities in Syria & Hold Perpetrators Accountable

Thanks to your advocacy last year, the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2016 passed in the House of Representatives unanimously. Unfortunately, this bill, which would help bring an end to the attacks on civilians, didn’t pass the Senate.

The Act has been reintroduced in the House as H.R. 1677, the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2017. The Act would apply sanctions, prohibit the transfer of arms, and support the evidence gathering and investigation into war crimes, crimes against humanity, and other human rights abuses.

Help pass the bill this year, urge your Representative to co-sponsor the Act today.

TAKE THIS ACTION  - Sign Petition: Prevent Mass Atrocities

We are urging members of Congress to support legislation, appropriate funds, and adopt policies that prioritize preventing mass atrocities and violent conflict around the world.

We are seeking to garner as many signatures as we can to show our government that genocide and atrocities prevention must be made a priority.
