Advocacy

We have had some significant advocacy wins this year – but we have even bigger plans for 2021. We’re expanding campaigns to fight genocide, and much of the work will involve helping to pass legislation and effectively persuade elected officials. The Advocacy Committee will build relationships with elected leaders to cultivate lasting policy change while driving the work of our ongoing campaigns.

Outreach

We have strong roots in the Los Angeles community and throughout the country. With so much turmoil in the world, strategic growth is integral to maximize our impact. The Outreach Committee will help deepen these relationships with individuals and community organizations while helping Jewish World Watch find new partners to amplify our impact.

Education

Engaging with schools and local change-makers about genocide is vital to our mission. Our Education Committee will work to expand our current programs like the Teen Ambassador Program (TAP). It will develop new opportunities for participation and learning for youth as young as five on through adulthood to fight genocide and mass atrocities.

Communication (traditional and new media)

To be a truly global organization, we need to widen our reach on traditional and new media. Write op-eds, letters to the editor, join our social media street team and launch other initiatives that will bolster our work. Please join our communications committee and help us expand our circle.

Development

JWW’s comprehensive model is unique because, in addition to advocacy and education here at home, we invest in local change-makers seeking to create a stable environment for their families and opportunities for a better livelihood. To indeed be effective, we need to ensure that our robust model can grow and flourish. The Development Committee will spearhead relationships with current supporters and find new fundraising channels for Jewish World Watch.

Generation Justice (Young Professionals) Board

The Gen Justice Board (25-45) will be a thought partner with the Executive Director and our Board of Directors to highlight the value that a younger generation of board members can bring to emerging areas of focus for Jewish World Watch. They will also be involved in helping to shape public events, including parlor meetings, young professional happy hours, and fundraising programs. There is an annual write/raise of $1800.
